PickMetric is an independent product-research and price-comparison publication. Our goal is to make it easier to understand which products are worth considering, how they differ, and where they are currently available.
What we publish
We publish buying guides, individual product reviews, structured comparisons, category-specific scores, specifications, pros and cons, and retailer price information. A single product may appear in several guides when it is relevant to different types of shoppers.
How our recommendations work
Our rankings are based on the criteria we define for each product category. Those criteria can include performance, features, usability, maintenance, value and other factors that matter for that category. Price is considered as part of value, but the cheapest product does not automatically rank first.
Research and testing
Some recommendations may be based on structured research using manufacturer information, retailer data, product specifications and other published sources. When we perform hands-on testing or original measurements, we aim to say so clearly. We do not describe research-only evaluation as hands-on testing.
How we make money
