This Privacy Policy explains the types of information PickMetric may process when you use the website and the choices that may be available to you.
Information collected when you browse
Web servers and hosting infrastructure may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, referring page, timestamps and similar request data needed to operate and secure the service.
Affiliate-click information
When you click a retailer offer through our redirect service, we may record information about that click, including the product and retailer, placement on the page, referring URL, page URL, campaign parameters and browser information. The application may also store a one-way hash derived from the IP address for measurement, fraud prevention or deduplication rather than storing the raw IP address in the affiliate-click record.
Cookies and similar technologies
Public editorial pages do not require an account login. Third-party services used for advertising, consent management, measurement or retailer functionality may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies according to their own policies and the choices available through our privacy controls.
Advertising and Google services
If Google advertising or privacy-messaging services are enabled, Google and its partners may process information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, consent management and related purposes. Available choices may vary based on your location and applicable law.
Affiliate and retailer websites
When you leave PickMetric and visit a retailer or other third-party website, that third party's privacy policy applies to information it collects. We do not control the privacy practices of external websites.
Information you choose to provide
If you contact us or later use a feature that lets you submit information, we may process the information you provide in order to respond, operate the requested feature, maintain records and protect the service.
How information may be used
Information may be used to operate and secure the website, understand site and affiliate performance, diagnose technical issues, maintain records, improve content and features, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and support advertising or affiliate functions that are enabled on the site.
Privacy choices
Depending on your location and the services enabled on the site, you may be offered controls relating to advertising, cookies, targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information, or other privacy choices. When Google's Privacy & Messaging tools are active, you can reopen available choices through the Privacy & Cookie Settings control in the footer.
U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of some U.S. states may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability or certain uses of personal information, subject to applicable law and exceptions. The exact rights available depend on the law that applies to your circumstances and to PickMetric.
Children
PickMetric is a general-audience product research website and is not directed to children under 13.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the service. Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including security, analytics, recordkeeping and legal obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website, advertising services or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
