What to know about Roborock Q7 M5+

Budget LiDAR robot with 10,000Pa suction, a dual anti-tangle system, a basic mop pad and an auto-empty dock rated for 7-9 weeks. RTINGS (Q7 M5) and TechRadar both name it their best budget robot vacuum. It usually sells for $250-300.
Editorial notes

Why it stands out

Why we like it

RTINGS and TechRadar both name it their best budget robot vacuum. LiDAR mapping is rare at this price and keeps routes organized, and the auto-empty dock removes the daily chore of emptying the bin.

It is the simplest way into automated vacuuming. The Roborock app is well regarded for room selection and scheduling.

What to know

Skip it if you have long-haired people or shedding pets, or a cluttered floor. Vacuum Wars measured 43% long-hair wrap on the roller, and TechRadar found obstacle avoidance patchy. Mopping is a static drag pad with no washing, so treat it as a vacuum first.
