What to know about Culligan ZeroWater Culligan with ZeroWater Technology 10-Cup Pitcher (ZEROFXX filter)

The Culligan-branded ZeroWater 10-cup pitcher with the ZEROFXX 5-stage filter, which is IAPMO-certified for Total PFAS. TechGearLab measured 87% PFAS reduction in the Culligan 8-cup, which uses the same filter, along with 100% fluoride and nitrate removal. Filters run about $0.90 per gallon.
Editorial notes

Why it stands out

Why we like it

TapWaterData and Water Filter Guru both list the ZEROFXX filter as IAPMO-certified for Total PFAS. In TechGearLab's test of the Culligan 8-cup, which uses the same five-stage filter, PFAS fell 87 percent, with 100 percent removal of lead, arsenic, fluoride, nitrate and sulfate.

The pitcher itself is cheap. Buy ZEROFXX replacements: legacy ZeroWater ZR-001 filters are certified for PFOA/PFOS only.

What to know

Skip it if running cost matters. At about $0.90 per gallon and 20 gallons per filter, a year of filters runs about $430, and the first year costs roughly $450.
Performance

Score breakdown

PFAS reduction evidence

Strength of proof that the system cuts PFAS: a current NSF/ANSI 53/58 PFOA/PFOS or total-PFAS certification (NSF, WQA or IAPMO) and/or independent lab results (TechGearLab/Tap Score, Quality Water Lab). Certified plus lab-verified scores highest; marketing-only claims score lowest.

8.5
IAPMO Total PFAS certification for ZEROFXX, plus 87% in TechGearLab's test of the sibling 8-cup.
Other contaminant coverage

Certified or lab-verified reduction of lead, chlorine/chloramine, VOCs, pharmaceuticals (NSF 401), microplastics, and for RO, TDS, fluoride, nitrate and arsenic.

9.2
Broadest removal here, including fluoride and nitrate, down to 0 TDS.
Value

Upfront price plus annual filter cost per gallon, judged against the protection delivered.

4.5
$22.99 up front, but filters cost about $0.90 per gallon (Water Filter Guru), roughly $430 a year.
Installation & cabinet fit

DIY difficulty, whether it needs a drilled faucet hole, a drain saddle or an electrical outlet, renter-friendliness, and under-sink footprint (tank vs tankless).

7.5
10-cup fridge pitcher.
Flow & daily convenience

Flow rate or production speed, filter-change ease, and filter-life reminders.

5.0
Filters slowly and lasts only about 20 gallons; comes with a TDS meter.
Health, materials & sustainability

Lead-free component certification (NSF 372), BPA disclosures, wastewater ratio, energy use, effects on pH and minerals, and any media leaching found in lab tests.

5.0
Removes minerals and lowers pH; short-lived filters create a lot of cartridge waste.
Reliability & support

Leak reports, warranty length, availability of replacement parts and filters.

6.0
Sold by Amazon. Owners report a fishy taste once the filter is spent.
