What to know about Roborock Saros Z70

A 3.14-inch-tall Roborock flagship with 22,000 Pa suction and an OmniGrip robotic arm that moves small items like socks out of the way. Its dock empties the bin and washes and dries the mops. RTINGS names it the best robot vacuum for pet hair it has tested, and it is now often discounted to about $1,000.

RTINGS names the Z70 the best robot vacuum for pet hair it has tested, and says its brushroll picks up pet hair better than the Saros 10R's. Note that the RTINGS review is now more than a year old. The OmniGrip arm clears socks and other small items, which suits homes where toys and clutter end up on the floor.

It shares the Saros slim body and StarSight navigation, and a dock that hot-washes and dries the mops. It costs far less than the Saros 20, so you get much of the same system for about the price of a premium mid-range model.

What to know

Skip it if your pet is long-haired and you have deep carpet. RTINGS says hair tangles on the brushroll more easily, with a pet-hair score of 7.5.
