An 11-cup pitcher that uses the PUR PLUS PPF951K carbon and ion-exchange filter. TapWaterData lists the filter as IAPMO-certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for Total PFAS (certificate W-29904). TechGearLab measured 97% total PFAS reduction plus 100% lead, arsenic and uranium removal.
Editorial notes

Why it stands out

Why we like it

TapWaterData lists the PPF951K filter as certified for Total PFAS under NSF/ANSI 53 by IAPMO R&T, certificate W-29904. You can look up that certificate in the IAPMO directory yourself. PUR's datasheet claims 99.75 percent reduction, and TechGearLab's lab test measured 97 percent total PFAS removal, which earned the pitcher an Editors' Choice.

The same test found 100 percent removal of lead, arsenic, uranium and microplastics. Filters last about two months or 40 gallons and work out to roughly $108 a year, about a quarter of ZeroWater's cost. It does not strip minerals or shift pH.

What to know

Skip it if you need fluoride removed (testers measured only 14 percent) or if you want fast filtering.
Performance

Score breakdown

PFAS reduction evidence

Strength of proof that the system cuts PFAS: a current NSF/ANSI 53/58 PFOA/PFOS or total-PFAS certification (NSF, WQA or IAPMO) and/or independent lab results (TechGearLab/Tap Score, Quality Water Lab). Certified plus lab-verified scores highest; marketing-only claims score lowest.

8.8
IAPMO Total PFAS listing W-29904 (via TapWaterData) plus 97% in TechGearLab's test. The 99.75% figure is PUR's own claim.
Other contaminant coverage

Certified or lab-verified reduction of lead, chlorine/chloramine, VOCs, pharmaceuticals (NSF 401), microplastics, and for RO, TDS, fluoride, nitrate and arsenic.

8.0
TechGearLab measured 100% lead, arsenic, uranium and microplastics, but only 14% fluoride.
Value

Upfront price plus annual filter cost per gallon, judged against the protection delivered.

6.8
$50 on Amazon from a third-party seller. Filters cost about $108 a year, roughly $0.22 per gallon.
Installation & cabinet fit

DIY difficulty, whether it needs a drilled faucet hole, a drain saddle or an electrical outlet, renter-friendliness, and under-sink footprint (tank vs tankless).

7.5
11-cup pitcher that fits a standard fridge shelf.
Flow & daily convenience

Flow rate or production speed, filter-change ease, and filter-life reminders.

5.5
About 30–34 minutes per gallon, with a small fill opening. Has an LED filter-change light; filters last 40 gallons.
Health, materials & sustainability

Lead-free component certification (NSF 372), BPA disclosures, wastewater ratio, energy use, effects on pH and minerals, and any media leaching found in lab tests.

6.5
Plastic body; the product page doesn't state BPA-free. Leaves minerals in and doesn't change pH.
Reliability & support

Leak reports, warranty length, availability of replacement parts and filters.

5.5
TechGearLab reported the lid breaking off. Replacement filters are easy to find.
